"You said WHAT??"
Just a quick note on lesbian couples: they are so much drama!! girls fighting with girls is definitely dangerous to the planet, especially when they are fighting over relationship issues. its the same as with a heterosexual couple, but more tears and more arguing. "Why are you and that girl so close?" "I dont want you spending the night at her house!" "Is she gay too?" "Why are you flirting with her?!!?" it gets so intense, and there is so much anger. But then again, at the same time, lesbian couples fighting is way better. They know how to solve their problems through actual TALKING, not gifts or sex. They can be more understanding and solve their problems quicker because GIRLS know how other GIRLS think. They're not like a guy, where he's always trying to guess what his girlfriend's thinking. So i guess in some ways being gay is so much better... no discrimination, of course :) <3

Rainbow Beads and Rainbow Cake
So, i've always wondered why homosexuals and rainbows are associated with each other. Rainbows are universal, right? they stand for peace, love, beauty. Rainbows are always the smiles that light up the skies after a storm. So now it kinda makes sense to me...Love is universal, so it shouldn't matter if your gay, or straight. And all love is beautiful, whether its between a boy and a girl, or a girl and girl. And rainbows always come after the storm, so the acceptance of gays is the rainbow, and the discrimination is the storm: the rainbow will come after the storm :)

The Power Of Technology
So i was just on Facebook, and i saw a new group posted for gay marriage. it had over 4,000 supporters, and the numbers only kept growing. Im not going to lie, i was a little surprised. i didn't think there were that many supporters for the legalizing of gay marriage out there. of course ive seen kids around my school wearing the shirts screaming "legalize it" in huge letters, but what can those who cannot vote do? but looking through this Facebook group, looking at the THOUSANDS of suppoters for equality, it spurred me to think more positively. Facebook is seen by MILLIONS every day. so maybe the thousands will turn to 100 thousands, and soon to millions. and maybe soon enough, people will hop the bandwagon and see that its not about the piece of paper that says your married to some one. its about the benefits that come with a LEGAL marriage that they want. Its also about the fact that there is something out there that gay people cant have just because they're GAY. people always want things that they cant have... and thats the really funny part: homosexuals are people too :)

Man in need of Valuable lesson
so a fellow gay friend of mine was recently suspended from school for three days because of four tardies and a missed detention. a little extreme right? well it is a known fact in the student handbook that a student cannot be suspended for attendance reasons, and if you miss a detention, you are to be assigned another. the administrator who assigned this suspension is a known preacher who may hust have a thing against gay people. my friend was given in school suspension by this same guy for...nothing actually for 5 whole days. he continues to make up stories that she ditches class to see her girlfriend (she doesnt have a girlfriend) and that she is constantly late because of said "girlfriend"
prejudice much??

Off Topic...
lets float a little off topic for a story of social injustice: a woman had a date with the supreme court today after suing her middle school for strip-searching her when she was 13 years old. seems at the time the woman was said by a fellow student to have some prescription Ibuprofean on her and so the school searched her back-pack. after finding nothing, the school then proceeded to strip search this poor lady, without the presence of an adult even though she is a minor. wrong much?? i believe so, considering the fact that some Ibuprofean was found in the pocket of her jeans, so the reasons for continuing to search her person?? the answer is so unknown.

PRIDE
so the gay pride parade this year is in phoenix, which is definitely close to my hometown. i wonder how many people will go, but more importantly, how many people will protest? the gay pride parade isnt about hate, its about love. UNIVERSAL love: whether your straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender. it doesnt matter. love doesnt pick your sex, race, or anything like that. love is a feeling, not a discriminator, so why cant people be the same way?

Silence is Golden
today is the day of silence. its a day where all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people take a stand of silence against the hate and discrimination. you dont talk, you dont whisper, and you make no noise. it takes a lot, especially when all your friends are talking and they just dont undersatnd why you wont just talk. they definitely dont understand what the silence means, and they dont take it seriously. but you know? you dont have to say anything, because the silence your taking for one whole could be enough to inspire another movement, where people can just be people

How many have to die?
you know, i recently read a story about this girl whose BFF killed himself recently. sad right? you want to know whats even sadder? the reason her BFF killed himself is because he was GAY.
cue the evil music. this boy had just recently come out to his friends, and believe it or not, they were...ACCEPTING *gasp* so he thought everything was going to be ok when he made the decision to come out to his parents. but instead of loving and accepting him as he was, they were disgusted. they kicked him out the house, left him no where to go, and left him with no options. he hung himself in his BFF's bathroom. imagine that scene: walking in on your BFF swinging from a shower rod because he wasn't accepted, just because he was a little different. dont judge others because of who they choose to fall in love with. love is beauty; no matter the color

OMG yet again
I was walking through the hall today holding hands with another girl. pretty normal in my school, since best friends do it all the time. but my situation was quite a little different: this girl was my girlfriend, (yes my girlfriend, as in were dating, as in she's my significant other) and thats a pretty known fact around. so as we are walking we pass someone with a visitors pass. could've been a teacher, could've been a mother, idk who she was but she definitely had a staring problem. as my "friend" and i passed she gave our hands dirty looks, like it was a sin against humanity that they were entertwined. both my "friend" and i were a little confused by her facial expression, and so when we looked at her, she avoided our gaze. it was like she thought we were diseased. i guess people dont understand how when they do things like this, i consider it a hate crime, because they have the disgust written all over their face. its not that its bothering, but its annoying. its obvious that in our society gays are frowned upon. so why remind us rainbow people every day?
what ever happened to the harmony?
am i the only one who thinks this is wrong?

Why?
"Your Gay!!!"
yet again I hear the phrase in the hallway, and yet again I'm rolling my eyes. I'm so used to hearing it as an insult that I can't even be insulted anymore. Being a lesbian, with plenty of homosexual friends, we hear it so often that we can't even take offense. It has even come to the point where some of my gay friends say it to eachother, but with us, its more of an inside joke. Were secretly laughing at all the people who use the phrase to insult someone else, because to us, were just normal people. We all don't really understand what the prejudice is against gay people. What I don't understand is why people thinks its ok to turn to violence just because they have something against homosexuals. What if homosexuals decided to be predujice against heterosexuals and turned to violence as well? what would the world we lived in be like? I just wish I knew where all the peace and love went...
